White awnings for modern homes. White awnings are increasingly seen on modern, minimalist homes, giving them a touch of distinction and elegance. Houses, apartments, or penthouses seek the simplicity and level of light that a pure white awning provides.
White is a very versatile color that pairs well with a wide range of colors and materials, meaning you can use it to complement virtually any decor style.

Advantages of choosing a white awning?
White is another good color for awnings, as it also helps block the sun’s heat. White awnings can block up to 80% of the sun’s heat. As with gray awnings, most of the heat is absorbed rather than reflected. This means you’ll stay cooler under a white awning.
Minimalist aesthetics
As we mentioned before, choosing such a pure color creates a sense of minimalism and elegance in your garden or terrace. It adds a touch of simplicity yet sophistication to the environment. White reflects sunlight best and, therefore, absorbs the least heat. However, that’s not the only benefit of white: it also helps keep the interior temperature of the house much cooler.

Does it stain easily?
There are many factors that influence how quickly an awning gets dirty, such as the type of fabric, sun exposure, and environmental dirt. However, some colors, such as light ones, can get dirty faster than a black, gray, or green awning. For surface dirt, we can take a little mild soap and water and clean the entire surface of the awning. Over the years, the dirt on any fabric becomes embedded and cannot be cleaned to leave the awning looking like new. So, the best option when you can’t clean it anymore is what it’s really crying out for… change the fabric now!
Additionally, a white awning can also protect your furniture, rugs, and other decor items from the sun’s UV rays, which can help prevent them from wearing down or fading over time.

In short, installing a white awning can help you modernize your home and become an excellent investment from both a practical and aesthetic standpoint.

Where is the location of your awning?
– If the area where you want to install the awning is exposed to strong UV rays , it’s best to opt for darker, more intense colors, as they offer the greatest protection, blocking between 90% and 99% of the rays. If your terrace faces west, you have no choice; choosing dark colors is essential to protect from the heat.
– If the area where you plan to install your awning is shaded , where the sun doesn’t shine as much, you can choose lighter colors. This way, you’ll brighten the space. These shades have a resistance index of between 60% and 80%. For example, colors like white, cream, or yellow. If your terrace faces north, you can choose these colors.
