Celebrate Christmas in your garden pergola. This year we decided to celebrate Christmas in our pergola, taking advantage of the outdoors and getting away from the house a bit. Connecting with the outdoors and adding the connection with nature we so desperately need.

In this article, we’ll give you some basic information if you’ve decided to spend these holidays under your pergola. How do we decorate it? How do we add those Christmas touches and make it the perfect setting for family enjoyment?

OPEN PRESENTS UNDER YOUR COVERED PERGOLA

What better place to discover happiness? The bioclimatic pergolas are fully enclosed, allowing us to take advantage of the roof to shelter from the cold and enjoy our stay. We can also choose the open-air format if we fancy stargazing on Christmas Eve, or choose translucent glass slats to also enjoy the outdoors.

Aluminum pergolas are perfect for adding decorations such as Christmas trees, lights, and gifts, as they are very strong and secure structures.

FAMILY MEAL

What other uses can we give to pergolas?
Adding a table and chairs for an outdoor family meal with Christmas decorations for a special celebration is simply incredible and takes on a special significance by connecting with the outdoors. Thanks to the LED lights that complement the pergola, the heating, and the background music, we add an extra touch to these gatherings.

GLASS CURTAINS FOR SPENDING CHRISTMAS IN THE GARDEN

Glass enclosures or curtains are perfect for creating a microclimate inside the pergola. They provide excellent ventilation, keeping you cool and protecting you from the harsh wind and low temperatures. Their transparency allows us to see outside and creates an incredible atmosphere on these magical days.

Stargaze from the 100% open roof

Pergolas have the option of opening completely to the open sky, allowing you to enjoy the magical Christmas night. There are several roof formats you can choose from, with rotating slats or sliding roofs. Whichever you choose, you can gaze at the stars to infinity.

MAGIC ACCESSORIES

Your pergola should be a magical spot with a Christmas spirit if you want to enjoy the most beautiful days of the year. First, you shouldn’t forget your decorations, including a tree, lights, and details on the table and chairs. Then, to complete the ambiance, you can add heating to your pergola to keep you warmer. Heating can be built into the pergola itself, or you can add it yourself. Turning on the LED lights, which also come as an accessory, is an ideal option. And glass curtains complete your perfect atmosphere.

CHRISTMAS DECORATION

When it comes to decorating your pergola, there are a wide range of possibilities, and they’re essential for conveying a sense of warmth and making the room more inviting.

You can create striking lighting effects with them, such as surrounding the pergola structure itself, both on the columns and on the ceiling itself. You can also cascade the lights, cascading down from the ceiling. Always remember to choose ones that are water-resistant and specifically designed for outdoor use.

You can also use plants and flowers strung between the columns.
Do you know why? In the past, what we now know as typical Christmas decorations didn’t exist, so natural elements were used as decorations. It’s very easy to find pine garlands or mistletoe leaves, ivy, or vines that can be used as decorative elements.

The Christmas tree and the Nativity scene are a must!
Why limit yourself to a Christmas tree in the living room when you can also create one specifically for the garden or terrace? Setting up an outdoor Christmas tree could be an opportunity to choose a real fir tree and enjoy the wonder of the green branches with the scent of the forest.
